SoHo Heavyweight Stretched Canvases are manufactured using top-quality acrylic primed cotton. Acid-free and archival, the medium textured cotton is neatly wrapped around a sturdy pine stretcher frame. Deep slanted stretcher bars prevent "ghost" impressions and give the canvas a crisp edge. The cotton canvas has a sturdy 18.7 oz. triple-primed weight suitable for bold, expressive painting techniques. Each canvas has a wide 1-1/2" deep edge that you can paint for a frameless gallery presentation. SoHo stretcher bars are cut at a special angle so you can paint boldly without worrying about ghost marks. The wooden bars of the canvas can't make contact with the canvas, no matter how forceful the brush stroke. There's no need to hold back - Let the paint fly on a canvas that can take build ups with very little to no sagging! Packaging Note: The primed canvas weighs 18.7 oz. per m2 and 15.63 oz per sq. yd. The square yard weight is listed on the canvas label; however, the correct weight is 18.7 oz.
