• Compatibility: The waterless trap prevents foul sewer gases from entering a building and is ideal for eliminating odors in applications where fixtures are only used occasionally, such as RVs, guest bathrooms, holiday homes, boats, and mobile homes. It is compatible with kitchen sinks, showers, garbage disposals, washing machines, dishwashers, and more! The waterless trap can also be installed on discharge pipework from unvented domestic hot water systems and condensate lines from boilers and air conditioning units. It also allows the admittance of air into the waste system and can replace the need for AAV's in branch ventilation.
• Function: The waterless trap is a unique self-sealing waste valve that prevents the backflow of air and wastewater into showers and sinks while actively maintaining pressure equilibrium in drainage systems. As a dry-sealing valve, it uses a purpose-designed membrane to create an airtight seal between the living space and the drainage system. The valve opens under water pressure when an appliance drains and closes to form a tight seal after discharge, under normal atmospheric conditions. The trap improves plumbing design efficiency while preventing foul air from escaping into living areas.
• Dry Seal Technology: The waterless trap is an innovative, hygienic self-sealing waste valve. Unlike conventional traps, it does not rely on trapped water to create a seal. Water seals are prone to failure due to evaporation, siphoning, or other mechanisms. Instead, the waterless trap uses a soft silicone rubber membrane that performs the same function as a water seal—but without the risks of depletion or freezing.
• Space-Saving Design: The waterless trap can be installed either vertically or horizontally using the 90° adapter, eliminating the need to cut into floors beneath bathtubs and showers to accommodate traditional U-bends. Its streamlined in-line configuration is perfect for tight spaces including pedestal sinks, shower enclosures, bathtubs, and kitchen cabinets. For horizontal installations, use the included knuckle bend 40mm adapter (size-matched to the trap). For in-line installations, utilize the provided 40mm running adapter.
